Igniting communities, creating change!
Le Va is proud to be valued as New Zealand’s national hub for Pasifika mental health and addiction workforce development, as well as national coordination for the disability support services sector. We play a role in translating policy into practice for all three sectors at a national level, meeting local needs. A major focus is enhancing the responsiveness of mainstream services to better meet the needs of our Pasifika communities. Le Va's vision is clear - vibrant Pacific leadership and well Pacific families. Their purpose is to enhance the quality of services for Pacific peoples and their families.
Le Va's approach is holistic: they believe health encompasses mental, physical, social and spiritual wellbeing. Their portfolio supports this perspective, encompassing workforce development across mental health, disability and general health.
Le Va's work helps Pasifika people reach their full potential so that families and communities can flourish and thrive in Aotearoa New Zealand. A non-government organisation that walks alongside individuals, families, communities and services to provide the resources, tools, information and support they need for the best possible health, wellbeing and social outcomes.
Le Va's work is co-created with the people who use services, their cultural knowledge holders and Pasifika thought leaders.
