InnOvation Trust is a non-profit organsition driven by rangatahi for rangatahi.  Based in Wellington the Trust is led by the company’s founder and Chief Executive, Charlizza Harris. Drama is used as a means to connect and work with rangatahi youth around social issues that affect them and their whānau, which are close to their hearts and are on their minds. 

2FaceDRAMA is a subsidary of InnOvation Trust, focussing on the production and performance which are carried out. The 50 strong rangatahi (aged between 10 – 24) who are a part of the unit, all contribute to the decision making process from anything such as scripts to production lighting.  The key driver for the organisation and its members is to promote empowerment and self-worth for all those involved as they become an “authentic lead”.  The inspirational rōpū, deal with social issues which youth face everyday. According to Charlizza, all the rangatahi at 2FaceDRAMA have first hand experience with the impact and affects of suicide.  This experience has made them abassadors to promote maori ora among friends, whānau and the wider community.

Waka Hourua Pou Ārahi Kim Whānga-Kipa and Manny Kipa for the Wairarapa and Mid Central region, through TRUTH (Tomorrows Rangtira Unititing to Heal) have joined forces with 2FaceDRAMA for “Project Chur”, bringing the performance to the Horowhenua area.  Charlizza said the planning process for these shows have started well, with everyone on the same page and what has eventuated is connection between both groups. 

Te Rau Matatini has a had long relationship with Charlizza who was a 2012 recipent of a Henry Rongomau Bennett Foundation Scholarship. She has also signicantly contributed to our rangatahi voice in creating #MāoriOra, #TechTikanga and #SuicidePrevention rangatahi videos in partnership with Te Puni Kōkiri.

Spread the word amongst whānau in the Horowhenua and Manawatū districts.  The Levin show will take place on Monday 3 April with a wānanga for the rangatahi from 31 March - 4 April. The Foxton show will be Sunday 2 April.
